Rochester General Hospital (RGH) is a 528-bed acute care, tertiary hospital and a regional leader in healthcare. Rochester General offers an array of services, including the Rochester Heart Institute, the Lipson Cancer Center, the Twig Birthing Center, Orthopaedics, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Surgical Services, Rehabilitative Services, Pain Management, Behavioral Health and Emergency Services.
RGH has consistently received distinctions that reflect the quality provided by a highly trained and dedicated staff. Rochester General has been named a Solucient Top 100 Cardiac Hospital seven times, a distinction shared by just 11 other hospitals in the nation. RGH is the region’s only Teaching Hospital Cancer Program certified by the American College of Surgeons, and which earned Magnet designation in 2004.

Newark-Wayne Community Hospital

Newark Wayne Community Hospital offers a wide variety of health care services provided by a team of highly trained doctors, nurses and technical staff. The hospital provides high-tech equipment, from its newly renovated Emergency Department to a Radiology department that now offers daily MRI capability and bone density technology.
The medical staff is made up of a full range of specialties needed to cover the span of life. Through Newark-Wayne’s affiliation with Rochester General Hospital, physicians offer expertise in heart and cancer care that surpasses other centers in this region. Also, a patient’s attending physician provides care throughout various aspects of their treatment—both in the office setting and throughout hospitalization.
The main objectives of the Physicians Organizations are to provide a vehicle for its members to partner with the Rochester General Health System, to contract with insurers, to educate members about contracts and improve quality of patient care and office efficiency through initiatives such as Clinical Integration. In conjunction with Rochester General Health System, the Rochester General and Wayne County Physicians Organizations are owners of GRIPA.

ACM Medical Laboratory
A division of Unity Health System, ACM Medical Laboratory is one of the largest regional reference laboratories in the USA—recognized for leadership in microbiology, cytology, pathology and information technology.
Rochester General Health System Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Rochester General Health System (RGHS) Laboraory provides state-of-the-art, cost-effective laboratory testing in a timely manner for patients and practitioners. It also serves as a reference laboratory for other area hospitals, health centers, HMOs, physician offices, nursing homes, and drug rehabilitation centers. Services are also available to pharmaceutical companies, educational institutions, and industries.The department is also a teaching laboratory for a baccalaureate level School of Medical Technology and a certificate program for a School of Phlebotomy Technicians. It is also a clinical teaching site for the SUNY College of Health Related Professions Cytotechnology Program.
Rochester Radiology offers diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic services. Extensive diagnostic imaging services include: Diagnostic Radiology, including fluoroscopy; Mammography, including stereotactic biopsy; CT (Computed Tomography or “CAT scan”) including CT angiography and 3-dimensional CT; Ultrasonography; Nuclear Imaging; Angiography; Interventional Radiology, including uterine fibroid embolization and minimally invasive varicose vein treatment; and Bone Mineral Densitometry. Rochester Radiology is the first health care site in the state to use the LightSpeed CT Scanner and among the first sites in the area offering Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in its dedicated PET Center.
The Elizabeth Wende Breast Clinic, founded by Wende Logan-Young, M.D. in 1976, is the nation's first freestanding mammography and breast imaging center, devoted to breast disease detection. It is ranked as one of the nation's leading breast care facilities and is considered a "Center of Excellence." EWBC is an ACR Accredited and FDA Certified facility. It is a founding and active member of the Monroe County Women's Health Partnership, a local organization that provides funding for women's health care and health issues.
Members of the Medical Society of the County of Monroe unite to consider and act on matters affecting the practice of the profession of medicine, to extend medical knowledge and to advance medical science, to elevate the standard of medicine, to promote reforms and to enlighten the public in the best interests of the health of the people of the county of Monroe.
The Greater Rochester RHIO is a collaborative, community effort involving health care providers, payers, hospitals, public health and the business community in an effort to improve patient health outcomes while promoting health system efficiencies. Having researched the value propositions inherent in a more patient centric view of health information, one that spans institutions and organizational barriers, the Greater Rochester RHIO is moving forward as part of New York State's effort to create an improved health systems infrastructure.
