Join the Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association

We welcome your involvement in GRIPA. You’ll be joining with 650+ other community-based physicians and share in professional development, patient support, and a sense of camaraderie that can enliven your practice.

The majority of our members are community-based physicians in private practice—both primary care and specialty care practitioners. Approximately 200 of members are employed by Rochester General Hospital or Newark Wayne Community Hospital.

For the four years 2003 – 2006, GRIPA returned an average of $10,900 per physician in withhold. That’s approximately $7.1 million more than was returned under other IPA contracts.

Requirements are simple

You must be a licensed, practicing physician who has active privileges or is affiliated by employment with Rochester General Hospital or Newark Wayne Community Hospital. You must also be a member in good standing of either the Rochester General Physicians Organization or the Wayne County Physicians Organization.
