Congratulations to Dr. Robert Oliver and his office staff for being selected as a GRIPA Connect Office in the Spotlight. This column features GRIPA Connect Clinical Integration offices who
are finding the GRIPA Connect Web Portal useful for patient care.

“Becky’s access to the portal and ePrescribing makes things run smoothly in the office,” says Dr. Oliver whose office
is also using electronic medical records.

Becky Moore is the primary user of the portal in this office. Becky says “Dr. Oliver does several surgeries on patients
already in the hospital and the portal allows me to check their demographic information upfront so I am ready when the hospital sends their billing information.”

The office also feels that using GRIPA’s ePrescribing allows them to provide good customer service to their patients by having prescriptions ready to go for patients who are scheduled for surgeries. The physician does not have to write the script
and the patients do not have to wait for the pharmacy for their prescriptions after surgery.

The office also uses the Point of Care alerts to advise patients that some yearly preventative care issues need to be addressed like mammograms.

“The portal is easy to use and creates less work for Dr. Oliver,” she says.
